Resource Program

Christ the King is blessed to have a wonderful resource program for our students. Here are some of the things that our resource program offers:
- Consistent school-wide documentation system for student individual learning plans and 504 plans which encourages continual implementation of necessary accommodations for students with unique learning needs.
- Daily collaboration and communication from the resource teacher with all classroom teachers and principal on topics such as differentiating instruction, reading comprehension, and meeting the needs of students with ADHD.
- Implementation of intervention strategies in the resource room and general education classroom.
- Test accommodations such as read aloud or small group environments for both ISTEP and other everyday academic quizzes and tests.
- Providing a space in the school for specific interventions for reading and math, as well as ISTEP remediation where necessary.
- Collaborative teaching with CTK classroom teachers and EVSC speech, special education, and ESL representatives.
- English Language Learner services and administering LAS Links to assess language proficiency for students who speak languages other than English in the home.
- Homework Club offers a place and time before and after school for students to work on homework.
